This bet was proposed just prior to the start of the 2016 World Series.
Tippy after a bitter defeat in the ACLS doubled down on Cleveland to win.
Cleveland was looking good with a 3-1 series lead after 4 games. It looked like the curse of the billy goat was going to vex the Cubs once again. However the Cubbies rallied to win games 5 and 6 forcing a game 7 in Cleveland.
Things were looking good for Jimmy as the Cubs held a 6-3 lead in the bottom of the 8 with their closer Chapman into the game. Chapman proceeded to surrender an RBI double and then a 2 run homer, the game was tied. It was at this point (11:22PM) Jimmy received a text from Tippy with the message "Mmmmmmmmm Bacon". With a rain delay postponing play Jimmy went to bed. The next morning a text message from Tippy to Jimmy read: "Bed = bet negated".

This bet was proposed when the Blue Jays were behind 3 games to 0 to the Cleveland Indians. Since the possibility of a comeback was remote 5-1 odds were offered. Tippy waited until the Blue Jays were solidly ahead in game 4 before committing to the bet. This affected the odds which were changed to 3.3-1.
